After a good global rapeseed harvest, the market for biodiesel looks incredibly good. The harvest was good in both Germany, Ukraine and Australia, which has reduced the world market price considerably. In addition, can also Canada expect a good rape harvest shortly.

In addition to the climate benefits of the fuel, it will thus also be more money to save compared to regular diesel. Biodiesel can either be used as so-called B7, where up to 7% volume of biodiesel is added to fossil diesel, or as so-called B100, where 100% biodiesel is used. The type of biodiesel used as B100 is always based on rapeseed, as this crop provides the best technical properties. At Biofuel Express, we call our B100 biodiesel for B100 Biodiesel RME Premium.

Right now, there is a price difference of approximately one Swedish krone between B100 Biodiesel RME Premium and diesel, but forecasts predict that the price drop for biodiesel will continue into the autumn and will stabilize at a much lower rate going forward. This will make B100 Biodiesel RME Premium even more competitive on price, and it also has several climatic and environmental advantages:

  • B100 Biodiesel RME Premium reduces CO2e by up to 70% compared to regular diesel
  • It has a low level of ash-forming components
  • The fuel is biodegradable, is not flammable or harmful to the environment
  • Half of the rapeseed is used for animal feed and the glycerin from the rapeseed is used for cosmetics and in the pharmaceutical industry

So, if you want to drive economically and climate-friendly, then B100 Biodiesel RME Premium is undoubtedly the obvious choice.
