Save more – demand the right quality

Biodiesel is a very cost-effective fossil free option, as no major investment is required for conversion from fossil diesel. The slightly higher maintenance costs, caused by denser oil and filter changes, as well as slightly increased consumption, are compensated by lower fuel costs and reduced carbon emissions.

Biofuel Express offers the highest quality of B100 Biodiesel RME available on the European market.

Several of the newest Euro 6-type engines for buses and trucks are approved for 100% biodiesel, provided that the fuel meets specific quality requirements in addition to the European biodiesel standard EN14214. The market leading engine manufacturers require a high degree of purity and high-quality biodiesel, since standard low-blend quality is not enough for use in the new engines as well as exhaust systems.

For economic and sustainable driving

B100 Biodiesel RME Premium is a fossil free fuel for those who want a smooth transition to sustainable transportation, while saving on fuel costs.

The collective name for biodiesel is FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester), and it is the most common type of biodiesel in Europe. The fuel is made from vegetable oils and can be used in most diesel engines. Rapeseed oil is the most suitable for production of FAME, and it functions at low temperatures apt for colder climate. The biodiesel produced from rapeseed oil is called RME – (Rapeseed Oil Methyl Ester). Our RME is produced by esterification of the finest rapeseed oil, in a modern industrial process where glycerol is replaced with biometanol, which provides a biodiesel of the highest quality and great environmental properties.

Product data sheet

Is B100 Biodiesel RME 100% fossil free?2021-06-14T10:27:55+02:00

In the production process of B100 Biodiesel RME Premium has methanol been used. Methanol can be both fossil and fossil-free. Biofuel Express uses 50% biomethanol as standard in the manufacturing process, to ensure a larger share of biomass, and thus an improved climate yield. Fossil methanol constitutes a maximum of 0.02% of the final product of the fuel, whereas the biodiesel standard EN14214 imposes a maximum value of 0.2% methanol. B100 Biodiesel RME is also offered 100% fossil-free, where pure biomethanol has been used. You are welcome to contact us for further information about the product.

It is possible to use 100% B100 Biodiesel RME Premium in all RME-adapted diesel engines. Our biodiesel is specially developed for 100% operation, manufactured through a Swedish-patented after-treatment process. This means that the biodiesel is much cleaner than most RME qualities on the market, and better adapted to Nordic winter conditions.

Why is biodiesel also named FAME and RME?2021-05-19T14:40:54+02:00

The collective name for biodiesel, produced by esterification, is FAME and stands for Fatty Acid Mehtyl Ester. FAME can be made from most vegetable oils, of which rapeseed oil has the least proportion of saturated fatty acids and is therefore most suitable for cold climates. Biodiesel, which is produced from rapeseed oil, is called rapeseed methyl ester, or RME. Read more about B100 Biodiesel RME.
